Review Nursing Intraoperative record in documentation on the dark menu to verify Anesthesia Type. If choice is listed, the anesthesia type must be modified to reflect actual anesthesia given to patient.
Open Perioperative DOC from the dark menu, select “Retrieve” and open the Intraop Nursing Record needing modified.
Select Surgical Procedure from the light menu, click on procedure at top of box and modify anesthesia type to actual anesthesia given, and click the modify button. Select the procedure at the top of the box again to verify modifications are reflected.
Ref-finalize the account by clicking on the green flag to the left of the box and selecting “YES” to save changes.
Once charges have been processed in the overnight batch, general anesthesia charges will be reflected.
