Cerner Tips: if system is slow or locking up
Sometimes Cerner is slow or locks up for one user but not for other users. The very first thing that you can do if this happens is to run a Cerner Session Cleanup.
- Log in to Cerner
- Click on the Cerner Session Cleanup icon

-
A pop-up box opens
-
Click on the drop-down arrow in the Impacted Application box to choose a solution. If it’s not there, then select Others.
- Enter a brief description (this goes on a log with Cerner) and then select Submit

- A green bar goes across the bottom of the above pop up to indicate progress. When complete, another box will pop up indicating how many sessions were terminated. Log out and log back in.

- If this doesn't work, then please log an OSH IT ticket. Let us know in the ticket that you ran the session cleanup, and it was unsuccessful. We will reach out to you to do a screen share to make sure that there is nothing else that can be done and to get screenshots if you have not included them in the ticket before we log a Cerner SR.
- Please remember that the more information and details in Cerner that we have on what the issue is then the quicker we can help.
